Jowl Bacon (Low Sodium, Natural Cure)*
Very Similar to Pork belly bacon, but jowl bacon comes from the cheek area of the hog. Great flavor. A cheaper alternative than belly bacon. Great for soups, stews, or frying up just like bacon!
*The jowl bacon has very little salt. Please keep that in mind when ordering. Each butcher has their own recipe and we discovered this one doesn’t have as much salt as most people are used to in a cured meat. It’s easy to add a little salt after the fact if that is preferred.
The quality of the meat is still excellent, and with it being a natural cure using celery powder, it is much healthier than the chemical alternative cure sold in stores.
